BIOGRAPHY
Kareem Rizk is an Australian contemporary collage and mixed media artist, living and working near Copenhagen, Denmark. Informed by his background in graphic design, his affinity for typography and his interest in re-purposing printed ephemera, Kareem’s densely textured and multi-layered works evolve from an intersection where fine art and design cross over.
Kareem has exhibited and featured internationally in gallery shows and art fairs since 2008 and his original artworks hang in private collections worldwide. Exhibition highlights include a solo exhibition at The National Bank of Denmark (Copenhagen, Denmark), a group show in association with the Institute of Modern Art (Brisbane, Australia) and group shows at The International Museum of Collage (Sante Fe, USA). Kareem has also been commissioned for freelance illustration and artworks for various clients including art publishers, interior designers, editorial publications and the boutique fashion industry.
